Alfesta trophies and awards

Bob Gardiner Trophy

This memorial trophy was donated by Alfa Romeo in recognition of Bob's contribution to the club, particularly in motorsport, following his death in 1981. Bob joined AROCA Victoria in 1970 and served as president in 1973-75 and as a member of the CAMS Board of Management. While the original intention of the award was for outstanding achievement in motorsport, the difficulty of providing competitive motorsport at each Alfesta resulted in its awarding to the attendee amassing the greatest number of points across the various competitive events at Alfesta.

Awarding of the trophy at Alfesta was discontinued after 2015 but resumed in 2023.
